Olympiad.. Retail like?

You guys need to think of a way of motivating new players to stick to this server.
Many of the peeps here are just selfish and dont think of the server's wellfare.
How can a new player compete  vs a guy with +12-16 items and lvl7 atribute?
With the fcked up events that were here a new player will need 5-6 months at least just to hope for a chance to do something on this server.

If you guys dont make this server "new player friendly" it will just be stuck at the current population it has now.And with time it might get lower.

I agree with you KoS I would like newbies to be able to enjoy oly aswell, but we can't do much about that... we cannot deny over powered players to play olympiad...

That's why the only thing that came to my head was doing like 1h or 2h oly newbie friendly... but dunno how that would work.

Loar, nobody will ever give you any penalty for your daily/mass pvp, this is just about oly. And I can't really understand the very reason why would you complain - you hardly ever even take part in oly(or I just couldn't catch you :p).
The +6 fiture that was described is used by several private lineage servers, and I do believe this is where the administration might prefere spending its time for. Frankly speaking I just can't see where else could you envest your time (if you do envest any ).

Dodge, there is no open field PvP anymore.  

I do not understand why some people believe they need a chance to obtain Hero status that do not deserve it.  People are complaining they are to weak to compete in OLY and want it changed.  If they are too weak then they do not deserve Hero.  I never complained when Markiss owned my face every time I went against him.  I asked him how he did it and kept trying to get better.  It is how you succeed in life.  I farmed a ton and got better gear.  I did the things he told me to do to get better.  Lineage 2 is not a game where you can compete in end game stuff after 2 months playing on the server.  I do not understand why everything has to be on easy mode for people.

Ok. I can easily get my hero, so, i believe, can kos. But we are still for the change. I don’t really mind how well-equipped anybody is. I know some are harder to win, some are less, but all of them can be defeated. I think it's a bit obvious that some other people would not agree with me, and these people would not ever join oly until they got +12 or until they will drop playing on the server (which is sadly more likely). The nice thing about it is to at least cancel the hopeless stance of a new guys here, to encourage them going on the oly and not merely to feed, but to have a good chance to show that they worth more than an elpy.
It makes me sad you can not understand it. As i have mentioned, it’s not a fun oly when there is just like 1-2 guys who can actually appose you. An oly where you skip a match because there are no free arenas left is fun tho. And even though its almost impossible there, we could at least have it always on, not that you would have to wait for an hour if you are lucky and someone has decided to load a box in.
It makes me even sadder that an active gm guy says things like we'd better waste our time on something worthy. And even worse - admin hasn't even replied in the topic which has 35 posts already and definitely wants admin's attention.
So many people left the server because there is nothing more to do -  they got their 12-16+++, got 11lvl clan, 9 wards aaand that’s it, there was none to stop them in a daily pvp, raids, tws and of cause oly. Adding this little patch could give both challenges for old and equipped guys and some opportunities for the new ones.
So would anyone please give me a good reason why the hell not :C

woof woof. Every month, oly is the one thing that makes me shiver in hatred. I want the hero, but i hate doing it, cause 99% of cases i end up against impossible to beat opponents. I'd have a bit (but just a bit) better chances of beating someone with +6 gear, but totally not above that. So, i have no choice but to come up with alternate solutions, that makes me sad, enraged, and certainly not happy. Cause kiting for 5 minutes against tank and losing at the end anyway, aint fun. Actually, I'd like another option - LOCK the player movement, till the gates open. For example, you have the 1 minute for buffs, but gates open already at 50ish seconds. Lock the gate till that 1 minute passes, and open them when that 1 minute is out. I and many other classes need range for at least some advantages. Otherwise, Tanks, soulhounds, doombringers get in middle and already start chasing you, and boom, u have no chance of winning.

Well, WuTang your class isn't the best at oly on this Chronicle, you should know it better than anyone, on the other side tanks and slh for example are really good clases for oly. Is not all about gear, it's about the class and the skill aswell.

Nah, the 10 seconds are one of nice features in la. Its about psychology, making you panic buff/use tali when you see some tremendous, say, dorf running in yo face. Or you can Instead be the thug rushing towards your victim making it piss it panties or, at least, have some laugh :p
