We got a problem registering for TvT from the net cafe.
If i register my friends can't register if they are at the net cafe. It sais only 1 registration per ip.
But we have different IP's for each computer here.
Can you please take a look and see whats wrong here? My friends also wanna try TvT when they come to the net cafe to play.
TvT Registration
and without paying any attention i spend like 3-4kk for registration :>
I guess this happens to avoid botting on tvt. When I'm at my boyfriend's house we cant register together too. :/ Sometime we have to choose who will register or not. ><
The problem with allowing multiple people to sign from the same IP is that it would be very easy for a player or a small group of players to easily farm the events to get the event apiga. It is impossible for a GM to monitor every TvT event that happens. In the evenings when there is a smaller amount of people online 2 people could easily sign 6 accounts to start and event and then choose which side or player would win. Going afk or trying to farm a TvT is a punishable offense, but we can't see everything on the server at once.
My problem is that we dont have same IP , its almost the same...
xx.xxx.xx.23 xx.xxx.xx.24 for example.
I dont want to be able to exploit anything. All i want is my friends to be able to join TvT when they are playing from the internet cafe.
We got different IP's on every pc , but still the game considers them to be same IP ... why is that?
We'll have to wait for Ignis for that answer. If there's something that can be done about it, it will be done. :)
Those IPs are your LAN IP from your local network, the server will never know those. We know your WAN IP from outside only, you can check it on whatismyip.com for example and you'll see you have the same WAN IP.
We want to change the client with one that will allow to lock by Hardware and not by IP, and that means that people could enter to the TvT in the same Network but with different PCs.
I hope solves your doubts.
Best regards.
Aha, thanks for your reply. Hopefully my friends will be able to reg to events from net cafe in near future.
