PvP event

Hi
I would love to see some sort of big PvP events
Any kind of mass and pseudomass-PvP events.

I know this isn't a pvp server but pvp is a very important part of this game to some players and in my opinion we have too little of that here on Vanir and it doesn't vary enough (mostly same old Oly).

.event command is a great concept but it almost never starts.
My suggestion is to make some sort of "big" pvp events about once a month
to interest people in taking part i suggest rewarding every participant equally. Score tracking and 1st, 2nd, 3rd place optionally, but not for reward, only for satisfaction, so that nobody will feel bitter afterwards and people will still compete for the first place.
As a reward i thought about a random element crystal for all participants or something equally expensive.
Also another interesting idea i got is to reward everyone proportionally to the time they spent on the event, for example make it give fame like TW or Siege (if that's possible to implement).

Im sure such an event wold interest many people, be very enjoyable, make an amazing change of pace for those who desire it, but at the same time it wouldn't make much difference for those who wouldn't want to see it.

I think that PvP events are the best possibility for L2Vanir to improve even further. The form i mentioned in this topic is obviously not the only one, but the better form the bigger results, and stuff above is the best i could come up with.

Basically i'm thinking about making a version of .events:
-less frequent
-more rewarding
-more "flexible"? xd

Sounds okay to me.

Only reward would be fame if player is not afk and you are good to go :)

Sound unbeliveably socialist.  Give everyone the same reward so people do not cry?  No thank you.

Loar the reward thing is to make more people interested in participation because otherwise I think most people will think like "Meh, waste of time, super op-farmed old players and op-class players will win for sure" and it can be frustrating and 5/6 players will come.
Another option i thought about is reward 1st, 2nd and 3rd place proportionally to achievement and everyone else equally so they don't feel they only wasted time in the end (or even during the event).

Edit: VolekF, i wanted to write -scheduled but i figured that .event s are as scheduled as they can be, but yes, it would be good if they were more planned/scheduled by players, but in my opinion "less frequent" implies "more planned to participate by players" (i'm trying to keep it readably-short, sometimes i cut important information:p)

and by "flexible" i mean more adjustable/changable maybe, less repetitive, for example every month different mode (tvt, deathmatch, tournament, team deathmatch, ctf(xd)) if it's not too hard to implement

Winners always need more then the rest or people will just show up and afk.  Just like most socialist areas.
