I've noticed that many people choose wrong option in the end of Subclass quest. Instead of farming angels in ToI, they want to meet Baium, what is unlikely to happen. I belive it's mainly because this option was introduced to Lineage in late chronicle, so people still think that they need to meet Baium, and most of online guides are written this way. The next and most important thing why people still take this option is related to quest progress window. When u are asked what would like to do (meet the emperor or face platinium tribes) u cant see the second option unless you move the window strap. As I said most people dont even know about second option so they just click on 1st option to go on. There is mine suggestion, maybe we could do something with quest progress message, to let people see both options in one small window. Or the second thing is to let people change their previous choice. Or maybe end quest after bringing the Reorin the 3 scepters, as the next things to do are some silly postman jobs.
I'm making that topic, because I belive many people quit as they can't meet Baium. Just take a look at global chat as people crying for baium.
Subclass quest
I don't think it's possible to edit the quest info too make the second option more visible, nor is it possible to change it for an individual once the option of meeting Baium is chosen. In order to take the second option you would have to abandon the quest and start from the beginning. I see what you're saying, but the changes you're asking for would be impossible to implement without re-writing and customizing this quest. If you've found a quest guide that has the updated option in it, if would be great if you linked it so we could make it a sticky topic for anyone looking for help on the quest. We as players will also have to remember to advise people to read carefully while doing this quest, and hopefully avoid more trouble than it's worth.
Yeah I was afraid that is not too easy to do. I can find a guide and paste it here, but I really dont think it would solve the problem. Majority of the players have never been on that forum, and I dont think that can change.
So there is an another idea. Maybe we could put some custom Vanir NPC just next to the quest NPC (I think its in hardins academy), with very visible title (like READ THIS FOR SUBCLASS QUEST). That NPC should have just a short info that it is possible to not meet Baium. I actually think that area should be covered by few of those NPCs so people would be informed.
Maybe I can add in event NPC or in a new NPC the option to go back and be able to select the option again, not for free, for few event apigas or something.
I think people just need to pay more attention lol.
