If you are looking to buy a new computer & play lineage, do not request window's 8 on your new computer.
Lineage does not currently support window's 8 and you will not be able to play the game.
Window's 7 does support lineage.

Thank you for the heads up, but I'm afraid you're mistaken.
The default L2 installer doesnt support Windows 8, however the extremely talented developers for this server posted DLLs that when copied into your Lineage II system folder, enable Lineage II on Windows 8 beautifully.
My wife and I are currently enjoying L2, both on Windows 8, flawlessly.
